What is the Rack Pack?
The Rack Pack is a youth-led, multi-media program intended to create and enrich future
hunters and leaders in conservation. We strive to provide learning opportunities for youth
17 and under that will help them become better hunters and stewards of the land through
website content such as: articles, experiences, videos, and more. On the local level, fun
and exciting field days and events will be held by QDMA branches to provide hands-on
instruction and activities.
QDMA has felt the need for a youth program for quite some time, and in 2011, the “soft
launch” of the Rack Pack was initiated. With a steering committee consisting of dedicated
staff and long-time QDMA members, a blue print for the program was created.
The Rack Pack Program prides itself on using engaging and creative methods to get kids
involved in the outdoors and hunting. Our goal is to reach out to the young people in the
United States and Canada by focusing on white-tailed deer hunting and the endless
activities provided by the great outdoors, including: biking, hiking, fishing, hunting,
climbing, and shooting. as well as conservation and preservation of our resources.
What is our Mission?
